When
not working in Real Estate I can be found walking,
gardening, cooking or travelling. Each year my wife
Brannan and I exchange our house with others around
the world. Ask me more about it, if you're interested.

In the early 70's I often visited Victoria with family
or friends to spend a day or two. I lived in Vancouver
at the time but Victoria held a fascination for me. Arriving
downtown, there's an ambiance, lots to see, on a nice
scale, and so relaxing. In 1975, my wife, daughter and
I moved here, not knowing a soul, but drawn irresistibly
to the island. The city and Vancouver Island attracted
me. I couldn't wait for fate to get me where I wanted
to live, so I moved. A bit of an adventure, really, and
one I've never regretted.
I'm
still fascinated with my surroundings. I marvel at the
air. It's fresh, soft and full of oxygen, especially near
the sea. The picturesque seascapes, the snow capped mountains,
the huge trees, the green misty mornings, quaint homes
with pretty gardens...an amazingly lovely part of the
world to call home.
So life is wonderful here. My career in real estate spans
about 25 years, and it's been interesting and rewarding.
Many of my clients have become friends, several having
bought and sold with me five and six times while others
are staying put in houses I helped them find, as it suits
them perfectly. I still enjoy helping people achieve success
in their real estate plans and goals, whether buying or
selling. |

"There
is an established loyalty between Jack and the many clients
and customers of his more than 20 years of active selling
in Victoria. From my experiences over the years, it's certainly
easy to see the basis for the great respect with which Jack
is regarded throughout the real estate and overall Victoria
community."

"I
had the good fortune to have Mr. Petrie referred to me in
1996 when I was looking to purchase a home in Victoria. In
my many years of dealing with real estate agents, Mr. Petrie
was unquestionably the most professional and most courteous
agent I encountered. He went out of his way to assist me in
finding a home that met my needs. Beyond this, he was invaluable
in assisting me in having renovations done to the home and
in locating renters. It is with great pleasure that I recommend
Jack Petrie as a competent and honorable real estate agent."
